Certified Medical Assistant - For Pediatrics Office in Plantation - Plantation, Florida

Responsibilities Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit. Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight and temperature; reporting patient history summary. Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality. Counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Requirements Pediatric experience (required) Proven experience as a Medical Assistant Minimum one year of work as a Certified Medical Assistant Medical Assistant Certification (required) Ability to administer injections Experience with phlebotomy (preferred) Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow Patience and presence of mind Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Prolonged sitting at a desk and computer work Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds Ability to assist with moving patients #J-18808-Ljbffr
