POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Mechanical Project Manager your roles and responsibilities will include:


The Mechanical Project Manager will manage mechanical projects from design/concept through installation and commissioning, with a strong focus on hoisting and vertical conveyance systems.
Key responsibilities include:

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and costing.
• Develop project plans and present requirements to customers.
• Work with mechanical/electrical design teams and contractors.
• Conduct site assessments and technical evaluations.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure projects meet engineering specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and mechanical codes.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Perform risk assessments and resolve project issues.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Support QA/QC and field execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Mechanical Project Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Mechanical Project Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
Required experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical project management.
• 3+ years of mechanical hoisting equipment design and operation - very important.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge.
• CAD experience.
• Project design, planning, costing, and documentation.
• Project management software experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future sponsorship

Preferred experience

• 5+ years supporting underground mining operations.
• Mechanical hoisting / vertical conveyance systems.
• Mining codes and regulations.
• Automation and control systems.
• PE license.
• Master's degree.
• Project management tools/software.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Compensation: Based on Experience. One of the best in the industry
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum Experience: 5+ years of mechanical project management.
