About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Daymark Health, you will contribute to our technical strategy, build secure and scalable infrastructure, and play a key role in the development of our core product. You will work closely with our other engineers, product, and data teams, operational leadership, and external customers to shape a transformative cancer care experience across the stack. We expect you to hit the ground running and help bring our product to market.

Responsibilities

• Build alongside a strong team: Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of our cancer care platform, with an emphasis on user experience, workflow integration, and security.
• Customer collaboration: Spend time engaging with Daymark's internal care team (nurses, NPs), patients, providers, and health plans to gather feedback and understand their needs, which will directly inform product development and iterations.
• Technical execution: Collaborate with operations, product, data engineering, and analytics to build the core systems and tools that enable our care team to serve patients as efficiently and effectively as possible.
• Security & compliance: Ensure that all systems are built with a strong security posture, including HIPAA compliance and adherence to SOCII standards.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 6 months, you will support the evolution of Daymark Health's initial product for thousands of patients navigating cancer care, deploying AI-based SMS automation and internal tools to support care management. Over the next 12 months, you will grow into a key technical contributor shaping our platform's direction, including potential integrations with hospital systems and patient‑facing tools.

Who You Are

• Deep technical expertise: 4+ years of experience designing and building user‑centric products.
• AI‑native builder: Fluent with AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and actively incorporate them into your workflow.
• Healthcare experience: Familiarity with healthcare technology, including EHRs and interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7).
• Security‑first mindset: Experience building and maintaining secure, HIPAA‑compliant systems and SOCII standards.
• Action‑oriented: Move with purpose and urgency, thrive in environments where speed and adaptability are crucial.
• Clear communicator: Distill complex technical details and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Customer‑focused: Engage directly with customers, understand their challenges, and leverage their feedback to improve the product.

Benefits & Compensation

Compensation Range: $170,000 - $200,000 USD
