Schedule: Day Shift; 6:45 AM 5:15 PM

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Columbia, Missouri. The technologist will work as part of the cardiac surgery team and perform surgical technologist duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for cardiovascular procedures.

• Perform surgical technologist duties during CVOR procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Maintain sterile technique and support infection prevention and patient safety throughout surgical procedures.

• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the cardiovascular surgical team during procedures.

• Assist with room turnover, instrument handling, and maintaining an organized and efficient surgical environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Surgical Technologist Experience Required; CVOR Experience Required.

• Current, Active Applicable Professional Credential or License Required.

• Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.

• Strong Knowledge of Sterile Technique, Surgical Instrumentation, and Cardiovascular Operating Room Procedures Required.

• Ability to Work 6:45 AM 5:15 PM Day Shifts, Required Holiday Coverage, and Approximately 6 7 Days of Call Per Month Required.
