Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description Job Description SOAR Autism Center is looking for an enthusiastic and client-centered Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech services to children with autism. SOAR is seeking candidates to work in a clinical setting and will work directly with clients aged from 2 to adulthood. This SLP will collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Occupational Therapists, behavior technicians, and caregivers, school staff, and other medical professions to provide a comprehensive treatment approach that is individualized to each client. Responsibilities * Meet with patients for the first time in their speech journey, answering introductory questions * Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with speech and language difficulties * Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills * Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary * Maintaining excellent records of patient needs, care, and outcome * Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers on speech and language disorders and strategies for improvement * Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes * Work closely with the family of the patients and the patients itself to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success Qualifications * Active state license for practicing speech therapy * Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent organizational skills * Strong charting and documentation skills * Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
