Bus Driver

A Bus Driver's duties are to transport students between their homes and their school campus in absolute safety as well as on other school functions. Requirements: Valid Texas Commercial Driver License with a "P" and "S" Endorsements: Class B or Class A Special Skills: Must be 18 years of age Ability to pass alcohol and drug test Ability to complete required bus driver safety training Physical ability to perform assigned duties necessary to drive a school bus The ability to maintain effective pupil behavior management control over groups of children The ability to speak and communicate positively to passengers as well as teachers, staff and parents The ability to read, write and understand maps and other written instructions The ability to cooperate with fellow workers and promote harmony in the Transportation Department and District Must have empathy for students of all ages Must have a clean record and pass a criminal background check Experience preferred, but not required
