About the Position

License: Active RN license in Oregon must be provided at submission. Certifications: - Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Preferred: TNCC Must-Have: - Epic Charting Experience Description: The Emergency Room Nurse will provide quality patient care in the Emergency Department. Candidates must be experienced in a high patient volume and acuity setting. Previous experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center is preferred. Experience working in a large hospital is advantageous. Candidates should have strong skills in blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and emergency medications. Knowledge of triage and procedural sedation administration is important. RN responsibilities also include obtaining 12 lead EKGs and managing dysrhythmias. Interdisciplinary support is available in various forms, such as respiratory services and pharmacy. The department caters to a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidates should expect a daily census around 340 patients. Travelers may float within the hospital or to nearby facilities as needed. Candidates refusing to float may risk contract cancellation. Previous charge experience and familiarity with charting systems will be beneficial. Submission of all certifications listed is mandatory.
