Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

The Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). Qualifications: NBCOT certification (renewal optional), graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program, active state license, CPR certification, and preferred one year of experience (new grads welcomed). Key Responsibilities: Follow treatment plans, document case notes accurately, utilize therapy software, and collaborate with patients, families, and support staff to meet patient needs. Skills and Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of relevant laws and procedures, good body mechanics, decision-making ability, professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to policies including harassment and compliance. Essential Functions: Implement treatment plans, maintain timely documentation, demonstrate excellent customer service, assist with patient evacuation, and communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
