Developer (Backend & API Focus)

Role Description

We’re looking for a skilled Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems and robust APIs. This position emphasizes server-side development, system architecture, and data handling, with less focus on front-end work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
• Build scalable, high-performance systems that power our applications
• Create and manage RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and system bottlenecks
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions

Qualifications

• Strong experience with backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or similar)
• Solid understanding of API design principles and best practices
• Experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) is a plus
• Understanding of system design, scalability, and performance tuning
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment

Requirements

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
