Traveling Optometrist Opportunity

**In housing lodging provided; 2 bedroom apartment available for travelers; client covers all expenses**

Pay rate: $4,800 to $5,000 gross per week

Assignment length: 8 weeks

Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; 5 days a week

Certifications & Requirements

• Obtain an O.D. degree and a license to practice optometry.
• Complete an accredited residency in medical optometry.
• Pass the national Advanced Competence in Medical Optometry (ACMO) examination.
• One year of completion of a residency program in an institution accredited for such training OR one year of professional experience as an optometrist that is equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level.
• Experience in hospital-based optometry includes the diagnosis and management of ametropias, ocular infections, ocular inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, dry eye conditions, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, ocular trauma, and binocular dysfunctions; and operating optometric diagnostic and treatment instruments and equipment.
