Grain Storage & Loadout Technician
Hiring through: Express Employment
Location: Rochelle, IL
Hourly rate: $18–$23/hour
Is this you?Do you thrive in fast-moving, outdoor environments? Comfortable at heights up to 200 ft and unfazed by heat, cold, dust, or tight spaces? Ready to keep grain safe, dry, and moving? If so, you’ll fit right in.
Your mission- Keep product flowing: load, unload, transfer, and store grain
- Operate grain handling systems and dryers to manage moisture and quality
- Track what’s on hand: measure bin levels; record and report grain quality
- Protect the site: clean bins, storage areas, and facility grounds
- Reduce downtime: perform basic maintenance and preventative repairs
- Champion safety: follow OSHA standards and site procedures
- Document everything accurately and on schedule
- Grain elevator experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical/mechanically inclined; electrical or hydraulic know-how is a plus
- Equipment experience (forklift, skid loader, etc.) preferred
- Able to lift, climb, bend, and shovel for the duration of the shift
- Willing to work overtime and weekends when needed
- Agricultural background preferred

- Machine Safety Inspections
