Provide comprehensive oral hygiene and periodontal care to dental patients of the College of Dental Medicine as outlined by the South Carolina Board of Dentistry. Provide instruction in oral hygiene to patients verbally and in written format. Maintain hygiene recall schedule for patients. Accurately document and maintain Electronic Health Record. Ensure instruments are maintained and supplies are stocked. Provide assistance to the dentists and other staff as needed, as well as any other duties directed by the Clinic Manager.

Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and three years experience or training within the specific work area. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking. Ability to climb stairs, work indoors, and in confined/cramped spaces. Ability to lift and carry objects up to 350# unassisted. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected. Ability to hear and understand whispered conversations at a distance of 3 feet. Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. Computer literacy. Ability to work rotating shifts. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to learn and use new processes, tools, equipment as required.
