St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Dover, NH is a 54-bed facility offering short and long-term care in a warm and supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. We are looking for an experienced full-time Maintenance Assistant (37.5 hrs. a week/every other weekend) to join our Environmental Services team.


Hours are 8am to 4pm.

Job Responsibilities of this dual role;

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed

• Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures and under the direction of the Environmental Services Director

• Replace burned out light bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties in high places

• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping as directed

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions and specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments and established policies and procedures

• Ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner and that our residents and their personal belongings are handled with respect and care. Maintain confidentiality of all resident related care information to ensure residents’ rights are protected.

• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing staff when performing routine assignments in resident areas

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED required
• Experience in a janitorial or related field required
• Must be punctual, dependable, and demonstrate compassion and patience
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Interact professionally with residents, family members, visitors and staff
