What You Will Be Doing

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in cooperation with physicians or independently (based on your credentials)
• Instructing patients and families on prevention, wellness, and disease management strategies
• Prescribing medications and therapies in alignment with your professional scope

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Nebraska
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialism
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or readiness to obtain within 90 days)
