Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill patients in a critical care setting, including monitoring vital signs, hemodynamics, and response to clinical changes
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; manage lines, tubes, and monitoring equipment
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nurses, physicians, pharmacists, case management) to develop and adjust individualized care plans
- Document care in the patient record, ensure accuracy and timely communication, and participate in rounds and care planning
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, respond to emergencies, and participate in code scenarios as needed
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning; advocate for patient needs and preferences

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility as required by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Ability to practice in a critical care/PCU environment and meet unit-specific competencies
- Willingness to work night shifts, 12-hour shifts, and the associated schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate across disciplines and with leadership
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and adherence to evidence-based practice standards
- Knowledge of and ability to apply standards reflected in the ANA Code of Ethics and related practice models
