Financial Management Specialist

Job DutiesImplements uniform financial management policies, principles, and guidance specific to Travel TDY and Relocation operations, ensuring consistent and compliant execution of travel authorizations, vouchers, payments, and budget activities.Performs a range of financial operations that directly support the Travel TDY and Relocation mission area, including processing travel obligations, reconciling travel expenses, validating reimbursable transactions, and monitoring financial activity.Provides technical expertise and recommendations to enhance automated travel systems and interfaces.Establishes and maintains liaison with operating and management officials to ascertain their needs for fiscal procedures and financial reports.Collects, evaluates, and analyzes travel financial data to ensure policies and procedures are implemented accurately and consistently.Supports continuous improvement initiatives for Travel TDY and Relocation processes, contributing to the development of streamlined workflows, enhanced internal controls, and improved customer service for all travelers and mission partners.
