Details Work in an AACN Gold Beacon Award-winning Intensive Care Unit Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week Requires 3 weekend shifts per schedule period Holiday coverage required Floating required to other units as a functional nurse during slow periods On-call not mandatory but helpful Requirements Active AK RN license required prior to start, may apply prior to license activation Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required, 5 years preferred Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Must complete fingerprinting through the Alaska Department of Health and Services within 48 hours of offer acceptance Additional Information Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting Free private 1-bedroom housing available, pet units not offered Optional housing allowance available for candidates who choose not to use provided housing Vehicle recommended for transportation, as walking during winter is not advised Flu vaccination required starting in late October, with religious and medical exemptions reviewed American Traveler Job ID P-766289.
