Packaging Manager

Packaging Manager – Pottstown, PA Sly Fox Brewing Company, a respected regional craft brewer with over 3 decades in business, is expanding its production team. The Packaging Manager will run state‑of‑the‑art packaging equipment and lead the packaging team at our production brewery in Pottstown, PA. Responsibilities Package beer according to the brew schedule and per the Director of Brewery Operations. Train, motivate, and develop Packaging Team members; provide leadership and hold team members accountable for performance. Ensure change overs, can reloads, and product changeovers happen quickly and efficiently. Maintain beer quality throughout the packaging process. Develop and maintain SOPs for safety, CIP, and packing operations. Work with the Director of Maintenance to ensure preventative maintenance is completed. Coordinate with the Director of Brewery Operations to ensure all needed packaging materials are on site and available for scheduled production. Mind Dissolved Oxygen and other quality risks to packaged beer; continuously improve to minimize those risks. Diagnose machine failures, make necessary repairs and adjustments to keep equipment running. Complete tasks in accordance with company standard operating procedures and all safety procedures. Keep accurate packaging logs detailing each packaging run. Qualifications Three or more years of experience in brewery and/or beverage production in an automated manufacturing environment. Ability to safely operate a forklift and a scissor lift; training and certification are provided on site. Strong technical understanding of machinery and sanitation. Knowledge of can seam measurements and adherence to strict quality packaging parameters. Experience in quality control and related protocols. Ability to work on your feet for long hours in a noisy ambient environment ( Flexibility to work beyond normal hours and in other positions temporarily when necessary to ensure product delivery. Self‑motivated; able to work autonomously, focused, and hard‑working. Ability to multitask and handle time‑sensitive situations calmly and professionally. Strong communication skills, capable of receiving feedback and offering ideas. Ability to troubleshoot issues and pivot plans quickly to coordinate corrective actions. Meticulous attention to detail. Physical ability to push, pull, bend, and lift up to 55 lbs and maneuver up to 165 lbs as necessary. Benefits Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Dental and health plan. Work Schedule The packaging team currently operates one shift Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. No weekend work.
