Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting managing a general diagnoses caseload including ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2–3; candidates should be prepared for the possibility of a 3rd patient assignment
• Care for an adult to geriatric patient population within a 24-room unit with an average daily census of 19
• Utilize unit systems including Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR for documentation and communication
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend and adhere to holiday coverage expectations as outlined at time of offer

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Active Georgia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests may be made post-offer or on-site, and no RTO is permitted during orientation week
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is expected; core items and labs should be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with all compliance documents due the Tuesday prior to start
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing complex critical care diagnoses such as CRRT, cardiogenic shock, and multi-system organ failure
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication management systems
• Experience with SBAR communication in a high-acuity environment
