Coordinate with General Contractors, Owners, Engineers, Local Manicipalities, and States. Read and understand Plans, Specification, and Manicipal Requirements for installtion of Underground Utilities. Update and track daily progress and employees. Impliment all requirements of OSHA and Company Safety Programs. Represent oneself in the Company as a competent, Quality & Safety driven individual who can perform the project or job efficently. Maintaining project budgets and schedules. Develop strong teams with good work ethic and attitude. Reinforcement of a positive attitude, work/life/balance, and productivity. Education and Experience Associate's Degree (or other 2-year degree)High School Diploma - or the equivalent (for example, GED)Post-Secondary Certificate - awarded for training completed after high school (OSHA 30, Trenching and Excavation Safety Competent Persons, Confined Space Training, Union or Trade Classes) Knowledge Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads. Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Work Context Communication - Daily and Frequent comunication with crew and onsite representatives to insure work is proceeding as needed and to the Safety and Quality standards require. Role Relationships - Understanding the importance of reflecting Safe and Qualty work to all who are associted with the project and employees onsite. Keeping professional relations inside and outside of the company to insure that Work remains Work. Responsibility for Others - Full responsability of the Crew and Project Performance. Insuring the Safety of others at or around the job site and that the installed products are correct, sound, and meet the requirements of the owner or manicipality. Conflictual Contact - There are many different opinions or interpretations on the job site to Plans, Specification, Contracts, and even safety requirements. This person must be able to identify these descrepencies, comunicate an accurate expectation or interpretation that follows or is supported by the company, and work with internal or external people to develop and document a path forward which promotes a successuful project. Work Setting - Work will be performed outside and in the elements. Travel will be require as our projects are all over New Mexico. Rotations will be used for long durations of travel to allow for rest, time with family, and personal activities. Rotation typically run on a 3-Week schedule Environmental Conditions - Heat, Wind, Noise, Cold, Equipment, and Materials Handled may all be hazardous conditions encountered Job Hazards - Equipment Operation, Trenching and Excavation, Confined Spaces, Hazardous Materials, Saw Cutting, Dust, and other Construction Hazards Body Positioning - 90% moving and walking around onsite. Climbing laders, equipment, and rough terrain. Work Attire - Long Pants, Safety Toe Boots, Short or Long Sleeve Shirt (no cut off sleeves), Hardhat, Safety Glasses, Gloves, Safety Vest, and specific PPE required for Specific Activities. Pace and Scheduling - This is a fast pace job which will require flexability, mindset, and a cool attatitude to handle day to day challenges that present themselves. Primary Job DutiesRead specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction or extractive workers.Confer with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.Order or requisition materials or supplies.Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.Record information, such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction or extraction activities, using hand tools or other equipment.Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies.Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery.Suggest or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, or hires.Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.Follow Safety and Quality programsEliminate Safety Concerns - Engineered Controls, Avoidance, and PPE. Take nessasary actions against repetative poor performance or unsafe acts of employees.Eliminate Quality Concerns - Actively Monitor and Track work being performed, imediatly correct bad workmanship, and take nessasary actions against repetative poor performance of employees.
