Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Family Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Heflin, Alabama .

This is a full-spectrum outpatient Family Medicine opportunity serving patients across the lifespan in an established community health setting. Physicians will manage acute and chronic conditions, preventive care, pediatric and adult medicine, and routine women's health while practicing on a predictable weekday schedule with no call responsibilities .

Coverage is needed ASAP for an initial 3–6 month commitment with the possibility to extend . The preferred schedule is Monday through Friday, but physicians able to provide four days per week will also be considered .

Clinical Scope
Physicians should be comfortable providing comprehensive Family Medicine across the lifespan, including:

• Adult Primary Care
• Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine
• Acute Illness Evaluation and Treatment
• Chronic Disease Management
• Preventive Medicine
• Routine Physical Examinations
• Well-Child Care
• Health Maintenance and Screening
• Medication Management
• Women's Health
• Well-Woman Examinations, including Breast Exams
• Patient Education and Counseling
• Appropriate Specialty Referrals
• Timely Epic Documentation

There are no scribes , so providers must be comfortable independently maintaining an efficient documentation workflow in Epic.

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO
• Active, unrestricted Alabama medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Family Medicine training
• Comfortable treating patients of all ages
• Comfortable performing well-woman examinations, including breast exams
• Comfortable managing approximately 25+ patients per day
• Proficient with Epic or comfortable working independently within an EMR
• Clean professional and credentialing history
