Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute residential deck and fence projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys mentoring others, and takes pride in delivering top-tier work that exceeds client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the construction of decks, fences, and related outdoor structures with precision and attention to detail.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Manage job site activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
• Supervise and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Communicate professionally with clients, addressing questions and concerns with courtesy and clarity.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of carpentry experience, preferably in deck and fence construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a small crew.
• Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and construction techniques.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
