Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Tele) is sought for a resource pool position in Plattsburgh, New York. This role involves providing flexible clinical support across the unit, including working as a float nurse and managing telemetry patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Plattsburgh, NY
• Shift Hours: 12-hour night shifts

• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting
  • Current New York State license, or proof of application with applied date (processing time 6-8 weeks)
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Epic electronic medical record experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory and nonnegotiable
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification will be required prior to start
• Additional Information:
  • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
  • Complete work history details (bed count, EMR type, facility type, etc.) are required for application submission
  • Public transportation is NOT accessible in this area; reliable personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires during November-April is strongly recommended
  • No block scheduling is permitted; shifts available Monday through Sunday
  • Bi-weekly orientation sessions are scheduled, with the next starting on 07/13
