Fabricator

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and a good eye for precision fabrication. This role involves working on a variety of metal projects, requiring a combination of technical skills and creative problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities Perform MIG and FCAW on mild steel. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine material requirements and project designs. Layout material according to print specification. Fabricate metal parts and structures according to project specifications and dimensions. Ensure quality and accuracy of welds and fabricated parts through thorough inspections. Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Collaborate with team members and shop foreman to meet production goals and deadlines. Identify and troubleshoot issues with welding equipment and make minor repairs as needed. Comply with safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a structural steel Fabricator or similar role. Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment operation. Must be able to use measuring tools accurately. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work. Must be able to use industry standard layout tools for structural steel. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Certification in welding or fabrication is a plus. Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
