Home Health Authorization Specialist

Responsible for processing all authorization documentation in compliance with regulations, the full-time Home Health Authorization Specialist will manage frontend documentation, monitor ongoing authorization needs, and collaborate with insurance and revenue cycle teams, with the potential for remote work. Key responsibilities: Prepare and enter data into software systems to ensure accuracy of client accounts Timely follow up on pending authorizations to facilitate payment of claims Generate authorization documentation to meet billing deadlines and industry standards Required qualifications: High school diploma or GED; college business courses or an associate degree preferred Four to six years of experience in a medical billing office setting with a focus on authorizations Strong knowledge of general business office functions and microcomputer usage Ability to meet strict deadlines with high accuracy and prioritize multiple tasks Commitment to the mission and organizational values, demonstrating ethical standards
