Light Industrial - Equipment Operator II

Job Description

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1+ years of relevant machine operation experience (or equivalent)
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes
• Basic knowledge of computers, Windows, and Microsoft Office
• Mechanical aptitude (knowledge of equipment such as motors, pumps, valves, etc.)
• Good math skills including the ability to perform simple calculations when provided the necessary inputs
• Knowledge of extrusion a plus

Physical requirements include:

• Stand and walk 90% of shift
• Reach, bend, squat, and climb stairs frequently during a shift
• Perform moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) several times per shift
• Use small hand tools
• Learn to drive mobile powered equipment such as forklift, pallet mule, and scissor lift

Work environment can include:

• Frequent exposure to high noise levels requiring hearing protection
• Frequent exposure to hot equipment surfaces (up to 600F)
• Occasional exposure to temperature extremes below 32F and above 90F
• Occasional exposure to equipment that may interfere with pacemakers
• Rare exposure to conditions requiring respirator PPE
