Job Title: Back Office Medical Assistant - OB/GYN
Location: Fresno, CA
Pay: $20-$25/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:20 AM - 4:20 PM
Overview
Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant to join a busy OB/GYN practice in Fresno. This is a hands-on clinical position working directly with the physician and patients throughout the day.


The ideal candidate has previous experience in an OB/GYN, women's health, family practice, or similar clinical setting and is comfortable assisting with patient care, preparing exam rooms, obtaining vitals and medical histories, and supporting the physician during examinations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures
  
  
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and patient concerns
  
  
• Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and supplies for patient visits
  
  
• Assist the physician during examinations and in-office procedures
  
  
• Provide hands-on support to patients throughout their visit
  
  
• Perform clinical Medical Assistant duties within scope of practice
  
  
• Assist with specimen collection, lab orders, and testing as directed
  
  
• Administer injections and medications as permitted and directed by the physician
  
  
• Provide patients with physician-directed instructions and follow-up information
  
  
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR/EHR system
  
  
• Coordinate prescription requests, referrals, test results, and follow-up care as needed
  
  
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms
  
  
• Communicate closely with the physician and front office team to maintain efficient patient flow

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of back office Medical Assistant experience
  
  
• Medical Assistant certification or diploma preferred
  
  
• Previous OB/GYN or women's health experience strongly preferred
  
  
• Family Practice or other hands-on physician office experience will also be considered
  
  
• Strong clinical skills and experience working directly with patients
  
  
• Comfortable assisting physicians with examinations and procedures
  
  
• Experience with EPIC, NextGen, Intergy, or similar EMR/EHR systems preferred
  
  
• Professional and compassionate bedside manner
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a busy practice
  
  
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
  
  
• Must be comfortable with the 7:20 AM start time
