Retail Scan Associate

Overview This is a permanent part‑time role. The base hours average 3–6 hours per week per store, depending on store size and workload. Additional 1–2 hours per week are often assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details will be discussed during the interview. What does a Retail Scan Associate do? Retail Scan Associates visit designated stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays, aisle locations, and end caps. The data collected is analyzed to improve product and retailer sales performance. Work is performed at major national chains such as Walmart, Kroger, Target, and Albertsons, as well as smaller independent retailers. The role may also involve completing customer‑requested “Custom Projects” adding 30 minutes to 2 hours of extra work for a store. Responsibilities Scan all product barcodes using a mobile app at assigned lifelike locations. Provide quantity for approximately 45% of the scanned items. Complete Display Scanning for the entire store each week. Meet weekly deadlines and deliver accurate data to clients. Perform additional Custom Project work as requested by the client. Qualifications Minimum 18 years old with a valid driver’s license. Reliable vehicle with state‑minimum auto insurance. Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Comfortable with repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and leg movements. Attention to detail and ability to work independently. Deadline‑driven and self‑starter. Reliable Wi‑Fi access and tech savvy.
