Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position requiring OH or compact RN license and vent/trach experience.

Details

Level IV NICU setting with high acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological neonatal conditions.

Supports a regional high acuity Fetal Care Center.

High volume of intubated and acute infants on the unit.

Patient population includes Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Tracheal Esophageal Fistula, Myelomeningocele, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, Gastroschisis, Omphalocele, Genetic Defects, Hydrocephalus, Renal Failure, Seizure Disorders, and Pulmonary Hypertension.

Uses specialized equipment including Nitric Oxide, Servo Ventilators, Hi Flow Nasal Cannula, Ram Can, Bubble CPAP, EVD, Shunts, G-tubes, Trachs, Giraffe Beds, Moog Feeding Pumps, Arterial Lines, Peritoneal Dialysis, Oscillators, and Bili Lights/Blankets.

Rotating 3x12 hour shifts, days and nights, every other weekend.

Epic charting system preferred.

Floating required within the hospital, potentially to an additional campus.

Requirements

Active OH or Compact RN license required.

Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in the NICU specialty required.

Level IV NICU experience required.

Vent and trach experience required.

Pediatric experience preferred.

Supervisor reference required within the past 2 years.

Copies of all nursing certifications required for consideration.

Additional Information

Provide high acuity nursing care to neonates with complex surgical, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and neurological conditions.

Previous CCHMC employees are ineligible to apply for 1 year from their term date.

Candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and local rates will apply.

RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 5 days total.

Additional background check and fingerprinting required onsite on first day, which could impact employment.
