About the Role:
Cheshire Pharmacy in Cheshire, CT is looking for a talented and dedicated Per-Diem/Part-Time Retail Pharmacist to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in your community while enjoying the flexibility of a per-diem or part-time schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in a retail pharmacy setting
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and adherence
• Perform drug utilization reviews and ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related issues
• Oversee and support pharmacy technicians during daily operations
• Process insurance claims and assist with prior authorizations
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and DEA guidelines

Requirements:

• Active Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
• Retail or community pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of brand and generic medications, drug interactions, and insurance processing
• Excellent patient communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability including weekdays, weekends, or holidays as needed
