Job Description Stew Leonard’s, a family‑owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Position Summary With general supervision, the Front End Supervisor directly supervises cashiers and their day‑to‑day activities. The Front End Supervisor is the cashier’s main point of contact within the department. Responsibilities Ensure cashiers arrive on time, receive rest and meal breaks when they are due, and are relieved at the end of their shift. Manage a register override card, providing it to cashiers when needed. Provide technical assistance for register problems. Provide feedback to the department manager/assistant manager for cashier 90‑day chats and yearly performance appraisals. Deliver verbal and first written warnings with manager approval.
