Optometric Technician New York, New York

Join a thriving patient-focused private optometry practice serving the Manhattan area! We are seeking a dedicated experienced Optometric Technician to float between our three office locations. If you are detail-oriented passionate about patient care and ready to grow with a collaborative team this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary patient testing and gather patient medical history
• Assist optometrists with patient care including visual acuity testing lensometry and pre-testing procedures
• Administer and document diagnostic tests (such as autorefractor tonometer retinal imaging etc.)
• Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion removal and care
• Maintain exam rooms equipment and supplies to ensure cleanliness and readiness
• Accurately input data into electronic health records (EHR)
• Float between three practice locations as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and patient communication

Compensation:

• Hourly wage based on experiencestarting from $22.00

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an optometric technician required
• Stable work history no job hopping
