About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00-18:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Respiratory Therapy credentials Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Level 3 NICU skills - Acute care experience with Med Surg, ER, and ICU - Ability to manage Bipaps, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units - Experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchs - Proficient EMR charting Description: This unit features a total of 160 beds. There are currently 32 staff members on this unit. Staffing ratios include a minimum of 5-6 staff members for day shift. A minimum of 4-4.5 staff members are required for night shift. The ratio system utilized is RVU. The unit is equipped with various types of equipment, including PB vents, Drager V500, Aerogon s, V60 Bipap, HHFNC, Hamilton C-transport, Oscillator, Jet, NITRIC, and Bubble CPAP. The EMR used in this unit is Epic. The typical hiring profile includes candidates who demonstrate good time management, especially during heavier loads. Candidates should possess NICU skills to work proficiently within the unit. The ideal personality fit includes someone who is willing to jump in and assist with higher loads and acuity patients. Candidates should be independent and self-motivated. Willingness to work in a Level 3 NICU is required. The dress code includes scrub color Pewter Gray. The unit offers a family-like environment with long-term, experienced staff. New state-of-the-art equipment and technology are utilized in this unit. Motivated and progressive physicians are part of the team.
