Senior Java Software Engineer - Remote in US

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop and deploy well-designed software that not only addresses the defined customer needs but is also clean, documented, tested and delivered continuously to production.
• Collaborate closely with clients, product and project managers, and other software developers to develop custom components and integrations with our core SaaS platform and customer ERP systems.
• Analyze and understand detailed business requirements and then write software to handle large volume financial transactions and workflow logic.
• Take responsibility for estimating, planning, implementing, and deploying large features and releases, with the help of your teammates.
• Add valuable new features to our world-class procurement server platform Research, troubleshoot and resolve bugs and system issues.
• Become an expert and mentor in our full-stack development environment.
• Collaborate with teammates who care about building great products as much as you do.

Our Stack: Java, Apache, WildFly, PostgreSQL, Ubuntu Required Experience & Attributes:

• 7+ years of solid Java development experience.
• 3-5 years of experience with multi-tier enterprise architectures using Java, Spring, JDBC etc.
• Strong customer facing and technical communication skills, oral and written.
• Strong OO architecture and design skills, comfortable with design patterns and best practices.
• Experience developing web based applications and webservices (SOAP and REST).
• Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills.
• Strong experience writing advanced SQL.
• Proficient understanding of Git or other source code management systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
• Strong debugging skills.

Desired Experience & Attributes:

• BS/BA, ideally in Computer Science or a related field.
• Familiarity with finance, accounting, supply chain or back office systems.
• Experience with data integration: ETL, EDI, etc.
• Prior experience in a professional services or consulting role.
• Handle ambiguous situations by asking questions, making wise choices and taking smart risks.
• Proactive and able to pivot to meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Enjoy problem solving and can use various tools or build them.
• Extensive experience in Agile and waterfall methodologies.
• HTML5.
• Springboot.
• Microservices.
• Maven/Gradle.
