Non-CDL Box Truck DriverWSL Services, Inc., located in Portland, OR, is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Local Non-CDL Box Truck Delivery Driver to transport products to customer locations throughout the Greater Portland area and surrounding communities. This position is responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining excellent customer relationships, safely operating company vehicles, and supporting warehouse operations as needed. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service while representing WSL Services, Inc. in a positive manner.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a company box truck on local delivery routes.Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely and efficiently.Verify load accuracy and ensure deliveries match customer invoices and shipping documents.Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, and other required documentation.Provide professional and courteous customer service during all customer interactions.Maintain communication with dispatch and supervisors regarding route progress, delivery issues, or delays.Follow established delivery schedules while ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.Keep the vehicle clean and organized.Assist with warehouse activities including loading, unloading, inventory movement, and general housekeeping as needed.Report accidents, injuries, equipment damage, or safety concerns immediately.Adhere to all company policies, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Minimum 1 year of delivery or commercial driving experience preferred.Ability to safely operate a box truck and delivery equipment.Strong customer service and communication skills.Basic math and document verification skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Forklift certification or experience preferred but not required.Physical RequirementsFrequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds.Ability to enter and exit the vehicle multiple times throughout the day.Ability to bend, squat, reach, and climb as required.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSafe driving practices and defensive driving techniques.Understanding of customer service principles.Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, lift gates, and other material handling equipment.Attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork and delivery records.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Work ScheduleFull-time position.Home daily.Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work as required.Performance ExpectationsMaintain a safe driving record.Meet delivery schedules and customer service standards.Maintain accurate documentation and logs.Follow all safety, vehicle inspection, and cargo securement procedures.Represent the company professionally at all customer locations.
