High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree in related field preferred. AND Experience: At least two years of Administrative Support or Front Office experience in a health care system.

Responsibilities Essential Functions :
- Receive, review, and process provider Authorization requests accurately and timely.
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information prior to processing authorizations.
- Obtain prior authorizations and referrals as required by insurance carriers.
- Duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling appointments with specialty providers.
- Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating referrals for diagnostic testing, imaging, therapy, and specialty consultations.
- Communicate referral status and appointment information to patients and referring providers, when applicable.
- Monitor referral work queues to ensure referrals are completed within established service level expectations.
- Follow up on pending authorizations and referrals to minimize delays in patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Resolve authorization denials by obtaining additional documentation or working with providers and payers as appropriate, when applicable.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, providers, revenue cycle, and scheduling teams to improve referral efficiency.
- Maintain knowledge of payer guidelines, referral requirements, and authorization processes.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, company policies, regulatory requirements, and complete all required compliance training while protecting patient and organizational confidentiality.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by professionally resolving concerns, utilizing conflict resolution skills, and escalating issues to management when appropriate.
- Foster positive, professional relationships with patients, providers, co-workers, and leadership while promoting a respectful, collaborative work environment.
- The ability to perform the physical, use of senses, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position, as specified on the physical demands.
- Ability to comply with Company standards of operations.

- The ability to promote and maintain a respectful culture of employee, employer and business confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
