Electrical Foreman

An Electrical Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing and scheduling crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks, assuring the work is being installed in a high-quality manner and performing quality inspections. Monitors task completion, compliance and prevents safety issues. Responsibilities Productivity Planning for assigned scope of work Material Phasing – Organize material by specific areas/floors, keep track of inventories Tools & Equipment – Identify all required tools and equipment (Gang box assignments, inspection and tool tracking by signing sheet in‑out) Information Packages – Each crew activity must have information packages (contract drawings, shop drawings, panel schedules, cut sheets, etc.) Break Control – Keep control of breaks (personal, smoking, conversation time) to minimize loss Daily Hour/Unit Reports – Submit hours/units daily for each assigned employee using standard time sheet Quality Inspections – Follow established QC plan & checklists – Ensure work is installed professionally and to high standards As‑Built Drawings – Maintain accurate as‑built drawings, update and log onto master contract drawings at least weekly Tool Inventory – Inventory all tools & equipment at day end; turn in inspection sheets every Monday Lost/Stolen/Damage Report – Report any tool loss or damage AHA’s – Review, sign and store all AHA’s related to the foreman’s scope at the gang box Equipment Inspection – Submit daily inspection sheets for all assigned equipment once weekly Accident/Incident Reporting & Investigation – Follow procedures; submit reports within 24 hours of incident Clean Up – Foreman and crew leader responsible for cleanup; area left broom‑swept at day’s end Quality of Work Completed Ensure installation meets/exceeds codes, contractual obligations, best practices and corporate quality policy Review and implement all facets of the Project Quality Plan; document deviations and obtain site Q.C. approval Assist the Site Q.C. representative in 3‑Phase Quality Control (Preparatory, Initial & Follow‑up for each DFOW) Document and return CQC checklists timely to site Q.C. representative to support QAQC schedule Initiate discrepancy notices (EDN, DDN, PDN, FDN, ADN, PITDN, CDN) to resolve construction issues Review weekly installation quality scorecards and address systemic issues with root‑cause, corrective and preventive action Discuss daily Q.C. report issues with crew to ensure mitigation of nonconformities Resolve nonconformity tags identified by site Q.C. representative promptly Participate in QAQC design review of engineering and coordination drawings for constructability issues Provide feedback on the quality portion of daily ORM work briefing Qualifications 6+ years experience in the electrical industry and a High School diploma or GED 4+ years experience with an Associate degree Benefits A competitive salary Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement 401(k) Retirement Plan Military Reserve pay offset Paid maternity leave Abilities Can lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly Can relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance Can work at heights up to 60 feet, climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and ladders Can walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead routinely Possesses good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, and can hear and communicate in English Can use a standard ladder without exceeding weight limits while carrying tools Can recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong (no problem‑solving required) Can apply general rules to specific problems to produce logical answers Can combine information to form general rules or conclusions, finding relationships among seemingly unrelated events Can see details at close range (within a few feet) Can listen to and understand spoken information and ideas Pay Range: USD $49.00 - USD $53.00 /Hr. #J-18808-Ljbffr M.C.
