Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.Basic QualificationsAdminister, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers across production, staging, and development environmentsSupport Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management frameworksMonitor system performance, availability, and capacity; analyze trends and implement optimizationsImplement and maintain security baselines, STIGs, and system hardening activitiesEnsure proper logging, encryption, access controls, and incident response supportProactive problem-solver capable of root cause analysis, identifying operational gaps, and implementing independent solutionsSecurity Certification Requirement: Possession of an IAT Level II (8140‑compliant) certification – e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc. If not already held, the candidate must obtain the certification within 60 days of start‑dateMust be a US Citizen; This position will requires a Top Secret / SCI security clearacen to start.
