This position is in-office every day at our East Point location, and the schedule is Tuesday - Saturday. This person must be available to work weekend and flexible hours, as needed.

About the Role:  

The Produce Repack Associate plays a hands-on role in the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s mission to fight hunger by safely and efficiently repacking produce and protein for distribution to partner agencies and families in need. This position works in a cold-storage environment and helps ensure food safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the repack process. 

What You’ll Do:  

Repack Operations:  

• Sort, portion, label, and package produce and other items for distribution. 
• Operate safely in cold environments while following all food handling procedures. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace in compliance with food safety standards. 
• Follow daily production goals and communicate any equipment or product issues to the supervisor. 

Quality & Safety:  

• Ensure all products meet quality and safety standards. 
• Follow USDA and food safety protocols at all times. 
• Assist with inventory checks and help track product movement from receiving to storage.

What You’ll Need:  Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:  

• Extremely proficient in operating stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and electric pallet jacks, including safe handling, loading/unloading, and maneuvering of materials and inventory. 
• Knowledgeable with RF Scanners. 
• Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and best practices in workplace safety, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe material handling techniques. 
• Previous warehouse, food handling, or production experience is a plus (not required). 
• Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
• Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work well in a team environment. 
• Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs as part of daily work. 
• Basic understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards. 
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes.

• Employee is routinely required to lift and transport heavy items to waist level, up to 75 lbs. 
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and walking are required. 
• Required to drive a Stand-up forklift, ride on Electric pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.  
• Frequently operates in temperature conditions consistent with outside weather.  Frequently transition between ambient and refrigerator / freezer temperatures.
