Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients across a diverse population ranging from newborn to geriatric
• Participate in patient and family teaching to support informed care and mutual goal setting
• Collaborate cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting
• Protect patient rights and privacy in accordance with ethical and professional nursing standards, including the ANA Code for Nurses and applicable state and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain individual competence in nursing practice and adhere to standards set by regulatory agencies including AOA, HCFA conditions of participation, and MIOSHA
• Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED environment prepared to manage both minor and severe injuries and illnesses across a 10-bed Emergency Department

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS or ENPC certification required (ENPC accepted in place of PALS)
• TNCC certification required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Candidates residing within 35 miles of the facility may be subject to a local traveler rate adjustment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with a broad patient population including newborn through geriatric
• Familiarity with Paragon EMR
• Ability to manage a 4:1 patient ratio in a high-acuity emergency setting
