Director, US Laboratory Operations

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Director of US Laboratory Operations to lead the Highland Heights facility's clinical testing operations. The role manages end-to-end laboratory performance, including safety, quality, turnaround time, and capacity while ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute laboratory operating strategy aligned with business priorities and growth plans
• Own end-to-end operational performance including safety, quality, turnaround time, productivity, and cost
• Lead laboratory operations teams and manage key performance indicators with continuous improvement focus
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
• Partner with Medical Directors and cross-functional stakeholders on scientific alignment and customer commitments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, laboratory science, or related field
• 12+ years experience in clinical laboratory operations, pharmaceuticals, biotech, diagnostics, or regulated environments
• 5+ years of management responsibility
• Experience leading large teams and operational transformation
• Knowledge of laboratory quality systems and regulatory compliance
• Expertise in laboratory automation and technology implementation
