Paramedic Position
The paramedic will respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and deliver high quality patient care and customer service within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols and company policies. Oversee task performance of EMT partner and make or approve all decisions requiring interpretation of clinical delivery and company policies. The paramedic has primary responsibility for the operation of the unit to which assigned.
Hourly rate: $24.11 - $33.75
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must clearly demonstrate each of the competencies listed above. The education/experience, certifications, skills, physical demands, and work environment described below further define requirements associated with this position. Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Some past work experience in EMS healthcare desired.
- Paramedic training and license as required by state to which assigned.
- Possess a valid State Driver's License.
- Cardiac Life Support for healthcare professional certification (CPR)
- Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Provider Certification (must obtain within 6 months of employment).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Care Life Support certification (PALS)
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, vocabulary, and word usage.
Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
