The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.
• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
• 2 years Healthcare experience;
• 2 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience;

Preferred qualifications:

• 4 years Healthcare experience.
• 4 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience.
• Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
