Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Supervisor will play a key role in coordinating on‑site activities for a major rolling stock project. This role requires On Site presence, strong leadership, technical understanding, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Lead daily job briefings with the site team Ensure compliance with SYSTRA and site safety protocols Coordinate daily work of technicians and subcontractors (4–10 people) Support the PM with execution plan adjustments to meet schedule and deliverables Act as the primary on‑site interface with the client Track and maintain tools, equipment, and materials inventory Provide weekly progress reports (resources, schedule, risks) Ensure work is executed according to engineering drawings and inspection procedures Liaise with remote engineering teams to clarify drawings or procedures Review, sign off, and transmit all testing and inspection reports Assist with testing, installations, and inspections as needed to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience supervising field teams (5+ members), ideally in heavy‑duty vehicle/equipment repair preferably the rail industry Strong commitment to safety and hazard mitigation Working knowledge of electrical distribution, HVAC, pneumatics, interior finishing, and metal work Experience testing and troubleshooting systems in collaboration with engineering teams Professional presence when interfacing with clients Positive, collaborative leadership style that empowers team members AAR Carman certification is a strong asset Contract: Minimum 24‑months contract with strong potential for extension, full‑time Division: Rolling Stock Reports to: Project Manager Compensation: Based on experience SYSTRA Canada is committed to diversity, inclusion, and employment equity.
