Job Summary: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT) Eureka, California
The surgical technician/operating room technician supports safe, efficient patient care by preparing the operating room and assisting during surgical procedures across a variety of specialties. This role requires carrying a current license on the first day of employment. The position begins on 07/13/2026, with variable day shifts and separate weekend shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shifts with variable start times (06:3015:30, 08:3017:00, and 11:0019:30), for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Weekend Requirement: Separate weekend shifts are required, with call coverage approximately 1 weekend per month and 12 nights per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • California (CA) state license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • National Certified Confirmation Technician (NCCT)
  • License must be brought on the first day
  • Minimum experience: 2 years of relevant experience (as stated in the position details)
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Community hospital experience
  • Charting system experience (Epic preferred)
  • Trauma level experience: Trauma level II preferred
  • Pediatric experience: pediatrics preferred (minimal)
  • Charting system experience: Epic
• Additional Information:
  • Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year holiday coverage is required, with willingness to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays.
  • Candidates may be expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
  • Completion of required modules is expected as part of onboarding, and time on modules is self-reported with completion recorded in Workramp transcripts.
  • Two references are required, covering 1 year and obtained within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start (references may include charge nurses/lead travelers, as applicable).
  • Submission must include the Social Security number (SSN) and date of birth (DOB); Return to Office (RTO) information must also be included at the time of submission.
