ChristianaCare is looking for a full-time Operating Room Assistant II to manage and distribute disposable supplies to support the Operating Rooms and ancillary locations. Duties and Responsibilities Fill case bins/carts with product delivered Place orders using RFID system and Workday handheld Verify stock levels using RFID system and clean rooms audits Confirm stocking levels of feeding tube supplies for upcoming cases Use applicable reports to evaluate causes of material when they occur Respond to all emails and Voceras sent by Clinical Staff in department they are assigned Restock and rotate stock and non-stock supplies, while checking for damaged and expired products Notify the inventory clerk or inventory coordinator of any supply shortages or usage increases Inventory and replenish assigned stock and non-stock par locations in IR Lab, Soft goods, O.R., and ancillary locations Answer incoming phone calls in a courteous manner and provide assistance to O.R. staff Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Report any unsafe activity, hazards, conditions or violations to supervisor or administrator in a timely manner Visually check products to verify information and condition of product (catalog numbers, expiration dates, sterility, and description) Hours Day Shift - Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma Minimum three years of relevant work experience in Materials Management and/or Supply Chain Equivalent amount of applicable Clinical experience will be considered, though the ideal candidate will have some Materials Management experience Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements Ability to serve customers and maintain a high level of satisfaction Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Excel Skill in oral and written communications like emails and Vocera Ability to do basic numerical calculations Ability to work with little supervision Ability to communicate effectively in situations with a wide range of stress level Ability to operate all equipment and software used in Surgical Materials Working Conditions Fast-paced, active, and customer-oriented environment. Possible exposure to radiation, anesthesia agents, and other hazardous gases and chemicals Physical Demands Standing for long periods of time Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and walking Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.87 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $22.91. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including, without limitation, skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
