OB/GYN Physician – South Peninsula Hospital
Location: Homer, Alaska

South Peninsula Hospital is seeking an OB/GYN physician to join a well-supported women’s health team in a collaborative CNM-first model. This is an opportunity to practice full-spectrum obstetrics and gynecology in a close-knit, coastal Alaska community with excellent clinical resources and a modern care environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: MGMA 75th percentile, adjusted every two years on a regular cycle

Schedule & Call
- 1 FTE includes 10 days of call per month
- Certified Nurse Midwives cover the majority of deliveries (approx. 125 per year)
- OB/GYN provides backup for cesarean deliveries and higher-risk cases
- Three clinic days per week with scheduling similar to FM/IM
- One OR day per week
Scope of Practice & Clinical Environment
- Full-spectrum obstetrics and gynecology
- New clinic space located in the hospital, directly below L&D and the OR
- Collaborative open-pod clinic design shared with MA and nursing support
- Onsite radiology
- Dedicated ultrasound room within the clinic
Support Staff & Team Structure
- Team of 3 OB/GYN physicians
- One primarily covers call with minimal outpatient duties during call weeks
- Team of 3 Certified Nurse Midwives providing outpatient OB care, deliveries, and OB triage
- Experienced nursing and ancillary support
- Strong hospital leadership and interdisciplinary relationships
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Eligibility for Alaska medical licensure
