Beachside Center, a reputable Skilled Nursing Facility, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Restorative Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of restorative care plans for our residents, aiming to enhance their quality of life, maximize independence, and improve overall functional abilities. The Restorative Aide works closely with nursing staff, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and other care providers to help residents achieve their rehabilitative goals.

• Assist residents with exercises, activities, and therapies designed to maintain or improve their mobility, strength, and functional abilities.

• Follow the care plan developed by therapists to implement individualized restorative programs for residents.

• Observe and document residents’ progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the interdisciplinary care team.

• Provide encouragement and motivation to residents during their restorative sessions, ensuring they feel supported and empowered.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed while encouraging residents to perform tasks independently to the best of their ability.

• Ensure that restorative equipment is clean, properly maintained, and in good working condition.

• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to adjust care plans as needed.

• Promote a safe, respectful, and caring environment for residents, ensuring dignity and privacy.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

• Previous experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting, preferably as a Restorative Aide, CNA, or in a similar role.

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.

• Knowledge of restorative nursing techniques and rehabilitation procedures.

• Ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.

• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic personality with a strong desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.

• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
