As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with Western States, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. We are seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Mechanic with previous experience in a production environment for our Butler Plant, located minutes from Milwaukee. SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLSAssociate Degree OR equivalent from two-year college or technical school; OR a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong mechanical ability, analysis and troubleshooting skills within a production and/or manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to read and interpret ruler measurements.Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift.Ability to move up to 50 lbs.Essential FunctionAbility to stand for approximate duration of scheduled shift (minus paid breaks), lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally, repetitive grasping, frequent, twisting, lifting above shoulder height, occasional bend, reach, crouch, or stoop. Sensory requirements are tactile/touch with hands and digits, near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Reasoning, mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills for appropriate operations of the equipment.
