is seeking an energetic, hospitality focused Server to join our 2nd DeNucci's location in Highland Park.

DeNucci's is a Ballyhoo Hospitality concept that celebrates the tradition of Italian American dining through handmade pastas, classic dishes, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere, with locations in Lincoln Park, Highland Park, and Hinsdale. The menu reflects the comfort and generosity of Italian cooking with familiar favorites and house made specialties designed for sharing around the table.

Each restaurant is designed to feel vibrant and welcoming, creating a space where guests gather for celebratory dinners, casual meals with friends, or a glass of wine at the bar. With its warm hospitality, classic Italian flavors, and energetic dining rooms, DeNucci's brings the spirit of a neighborhood Italian restaurant to communities across Chicago and the North Shore.

Server Job Summary: As the primary point of contact for guest interactions in the dining room, the Server is responsible for selling & serving food & beverages using their knowledge, hospitality and service skills. Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with excellent knowledge of food & alcoholic beverage selections. Must be comfortable suggesting food & wine pairings, craft beers, and aperitifs and familiar with local beverage products. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and provide consistent, pleasant, quality service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests promptly and professionally.
• Guide guests through their dining experience with knowledge and hospitality focus.
• Take and submit food and beverage orders through a point of sale system - Toast.
• Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen and bar.
• Deliver food and beverages accurately and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with service staff to clear and reset tables efficiently.
• Manage guest financial transactions and verify the accuracy of daily sales and payment reconciliation.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the dining area and other restaurant tasks as needed.
• Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and stay informed about menu items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of dining experience preferred.
• Maintain a BASSET and ServSafe Food Handlers Certification.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation and handling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Point of Sale systems (Toast preferred).
• Must be able to work Weekends, Evenings and Holidays
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
